The importance of colour in our lives.

Colour surrounds our entire auric field, it changes constantly depending on our mood or where we are, it can cheer us up or pull us down so it is important as ever to keep ourselves in balance, to keep ourselves in fine fettle we can use the visualisation process by calling upon the chakra’s, chakra means wheel or energy centre and each one has a specific colour, we have red for the base chakra, Orange for the sacral chakra, yellow for the stomach area, pink for our heart and turquoise blue for the throat chakra, above this we have the third eye position which is indigo blue and finally our crown which is a magnificent violet colour.
If we feel a bit queasy then simply add yellow to the stomach area, do this in your mind as if you are topping up a tin of paint or spreading colour onto an artists palette, do the same with all the other energy centre areas to re-energise yourself instantly wherever you may be during the day, once you get the hang of it then it will become second nature to balance yourself.
Colour is important to where we live or work in the way that we decorate our rooms, it really is a reflection of the way that we feel and this is why beautiful clothes with good colours can uplift us to make us feel good, if we are fortunate enough to have a full wardrobe of colours then we can dress to suit our mood that particular day.
As mentioned above the aura can consist of a myriad of colours all infusing together to form beautiful shades, sometimes there are threads of silver or even gold running within the onion like shell of protection around us, each colour means something important and my readings will pick up on your colours at that particular moment in time to add even more substance to the reading.
Colours also resonate to different vibration levels, the highest being the violet of the crown (sahasrara) they represent the electrical field of the subtle system which is within us all and keeps us functioning.
If you would like me to do an appraisal of your aura and its colours then I will be happy to do that as part of your reading.
Thank you, Merlin

Merlin

See everything as a blessing.

From the moment that you were born you had a life purpose, you had chosen your parents and the situation that you were born into, whether it was as in my own case a colliery community or a small holding with many animals around you, that was the very start of your life that you were about to tread for the next few years and beyond, as the years rolled on just like moss you gathered great knowledge, brought great joy and love  to those around you who were to be your mentors, then there were the dips in life that seemed so cruel at the time, but those dips were essential for your physical and spiritual growth just like the first wobbly steps you took as a child, you fell then you picked yourself up, you cried then you smiled but all the time learning new lessons about yourself, yes you the unique child like nobody else ? You looked different and felt differently and all the time you probably never realised that you were on a long journey of self exploration both inwardly and outwardly that would take you along many tangents and crossroads.
Some of us achieved great things; some of us may have struggled? But always these things were a blessing working quietly around us or in the background of our lives, it is said that we fear the unknown but the unknown is our finest teacher of strength and integrity, once we conquer our lives then we can climb mountains, Yes Mountains! Because life can be like that sometimes as if everything is going downhill or down a mountain? what we firmly need to grasp is that the freedom we are given at birth to succeed has not always been easy but along the way there have been opportunities to meet our goal if we so wanted, you see everything really is a true blessing even if we do not always see it that way ? There are real gifts in life that many of us simply cannot see, but they really are there for everyone if they really want them? we need to lift that inner veil, smell the coffee, grasp inwardly and ask those gifted who know and can give guidance, they too have a life purpose and worked hard to achieve what was necessary, they saw the blessings even in their raw element as air, water and fire and drew upon these basic life sustaining elements and expanded upon their blessings offering trust that everything was being pieced together for us at just the right moment of our lives.
As we see the news on our televisions there is hardly a day goes by without something happening in the world involving real people, these people can witness dangers in war torn countries, they can hear the cry of a new born baby, volcano’s can erupt and  towers collapse and we ask ourselves why are these things happening out there ? They are happening because people are living the lives as was intended whether it is seen as happy or sad? We are all working off something in our lives and although sometimes it may seem that others have all the luck this is just not so, because everything really is a blessing even if in deep disguise as such.
What we need to do is make sure we live our lives to the fullest given the blessings around us in our daily lives, those blessings can be as simple as having a lovely warm bath to going on a much needed holiday in the sun, be grateful for the smallest things as just like acorns they can lead to big things.

Letting Go

" Letting Go "

Letting go, of course this can relate in many different area's of our lives and where ever you find yourself at this time,or  experiencing a challenging situation we may find we need to be gentle with ourselves and find peace. To take that healthy step back to gather yourself and your energy, letting go can relate on an energetic level, emotional level, and material level. If our environment is cluttered it can also make us feel internally cluttered, bogged down and a sense of feeling disorganised which then can all too easily lead to stress. We then do not know where to start and it can drain our energy and we chase our tail and not achieve anything. By taking some time to clear out cupboards and unwanted items releasing and letting go of what we no longer need or which no longer serves us can help and make a positive difference even on the inside as well as on the outside.

So go through those cluttered cupboards, belongings around the home you feel needs to go perhaps that spare room or living room has gathered far too many objects? we feel a big difference by de- cluttering and feel more connected and more importantly on top of things!

De - clutter can also be in the area of your daily routine and schedule. Perhaps you have taken on too much? Finding yourself saying yes unaware of what has then taken up a lot or all of your time. Be aware of priority and what is important to you, what feels right for you, what you are happy with. It is all too easy to agree with what ever may be thrown at you and without thought we pile more on our plate and people please.

Cut back, create healthy boundaries, delegate, lessen what you take on or perhaps balance tasks over more time. Give yourself time to then fit in some much needed you time and  be ready to enjoy your Summer.

Colour is Back

Colour Is Back !

Isn't this the most beautiful time of year? When it seems like just out of no where, as if by magic there is colour, after what feels like a life time of stillness and  bareness , bright, vivid colours emerge. Spring has well and truly sprung I even heard the sound of a lawn mower  just this week, due to many windows open the smell came drifting in, the sound and the smell of the fresh cut grass propelled me to Summer. On this note, is colour in your life? Is there buds just waiting to emerge with a little TLC ? Allowing room for the seeds to be nurtured, develop, the right direction to unfold to draw you to the sun? When I talk of seeds I mean ideas, thoughts, dreams that just may be sitting there ready and waiting to start moving  you in the right direction. To start to take steps forward as we start to feel and absorb this perfect time of year symbolising new beginnings and a  fresh start.

Colour also brings us upliftment, a sense of everything is well, you can look at what is around you which is trying to break through and literally  putting a spring in our step, ride on this sweet smelling air, to feel the anticipation of new beginnings new life, to what ever your dream is and goal. Allowing the energy and colours of this amazing season to give you inspiration and clarity to your ideas. Whether your plans and ideas are in the home environment, relationships, work and career, positive clear thinking and the right practical step forward which is best for you can give you the feel good factor. This is a natural time of year where we feel such hope and aspirations that things all fall into place at the right perfect time.

Emerge in the energy's of this season see and feel the colours of the blossoms in their own time, beautifully unfolding giving life and purpose to your goals and dreams trusting in the natural timing and cycles life brings.  Giving the care and nurturing to you and your dreams to turn that page and begin this beautiful new chapter in your life.

The Happy Jar

The Happy Jar

I can’t take credit for this idea as it’s something I read about in a book ages ago, but I would love to share it with you.

All you need is an empty jar, tin or box, a pen and some small pieces of paper.

Each day you write down on a single piece of paper one thing that makes you feel really happy.  It could be a potential family visit, the sound of a blackbird in your tree, the taste of that first cuppa of the day, a happy memory. Anything that makes you feel happy, write it down.

Each day you just add another ‘happy thought’ to your jar. Simple as that.

At any point in the future when you are feeling down in the dumps instead of reaching inside the cookie jar you reach inside the happy jar and take out a ‘happy thought’!

By doing this you’ll save on potential unnecessary calories and get an immediate lift as your mind slips back to a special positive memory.  Also, by lifting your spirits you’ll raise your personal energy/vibration and enhance your aura, thus making your connection with the Divine and your higher wisdom all the more easy.

And all it takes is an empty jar, a pen and a few pieces of blank paper!

Angel in the Storm

Please walk with me for a while
I'd really love to see your smile
The light shining in your eyes
Is enough to mesmerise
As my soul begins to dance
And my Heart becomes entranced
I am elated by your persistence
To remind me of my Existence
Bringing awareness of my worth
And the reason for my birth
The many year of wondering why
Wondering if my time to die
Would come sooner than I wanted so
Because I could never let go
Of the memories of the hurt
My eyes filled with the dirt
The echoes of rejection
Would appear in my reflection
But today as I walk with you
I am reminded that all I once knew
Has brought me to this place
That I can now fully embrace
Not with hurt or pain within
But the song in my heart to begin

In light
